Thomas Nagel
after completing his studies in Visual Communication at the University for Art and Design Offenbach Thomas worked as designer and project manager for leading design agencies (e.g. Olaf Leu Design, MetaDesign) in Frankfurt, Berlin and San Francisco. In 1994 he founded with partners the xplicit society for Visual Communication in Frankfurt. With a team of 15 in both Frankfurt and Berlin xplicit worked with a diverse range of international clients. Thomas was an initiator of the experimental Typography collaboration Face2Face for which he developed, produced and published PostScript - Alphabet and other multimedia performances.
He has received a string of national and international design awards. He is a member of the Design-Diplom Jury (including DDC, FH Wiesbaden, ETH Zurich). He is a member of the Stifterkreis des Rat für Formgebung / German Design Council, the ICSID Roster of Experts (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design), the Deutschen Designer Club (DDC) and the Forum Typografie.
