An architect who is all about using local resources with techniques out of grasp, time and place, Salem S. Charabi’s approach is a poetic one. Based just outside of Copenhagen, Denmark, Charabi’s collaborates with a close-knit team to realize his work. Each act of creation becomes an attempt to settle a sense of longing, and a way of giving the world meaning through craft and the gestures of making. With motifs like moons, latticework and butterflies, the pieces are often highly-detailed and intricate, requiring acute skills and patience to reach completion.
