Prep Days

To help you get to know the professional field of the designer, design studies and the orientation of the Academy of Visual Arts, Frankfurt along with its teachers; we offer Prep Days for potential applicants. These cover different points of interest allowing us to give relevant advice and support on the choice of your studies and profession.

Study Days 
The Study Days program at the Academy of Visual Arts, Frankfurt, offers potential applicants the chance to discover firsthand the key elements of the study course of Design at the Academy of Visual Arts, Frankfurt. Potential applicants and those interested have the opportunity to work on individually planned design projects over two to three days. During that time you will have the on-hand support of a lecturer. You also have the opportunity to attend selected lectures as a guest. You can participate online.

Portfolio Day
Today, a personal and convincing portfolio is the key component for application to design courses. The Portfolio Day offers prospective and potential applicants a qualified assessment of your existing works. Your work samples are conceptually arranged in such a way that your personal priorities and interests are reflected. In addition, individual feedback allows you to fill in gaps and expand your focal points.

Assessment Day
Is a design course really right for me? Am I suited for this profession? And what opportunities do I have during my studies and later in the world of work?
Through lectures and practical exercises, the Assessment Day will give you insight into the professional field of the designer and the necessary skills to be successful. In addition, the requirements and the structure of the studies at the Academy are presented in detail. The success of these days is based on intensive cooperation, which is enabled by the Assessment Day taking place in small groups. Therefore, we recommend Early registration.
