VisualResearch

»VisualResearch« at the Academy of Visual Arts, Frankfurt is an interdisciplinary research project with an empirical focus. It aims to develop theoretical and practical aesthetic concepts relating to print, interactive and object design.

As a pilot project in design research, “VisualResearch” seeks to combine design practice, instruction and science to generate new forms of knowledge production on aesthetic-sensory concepts and to expand the design discipline (and teaching) from a currently purely symbolic sphere into a space of so-called “consequences”.
